The ECS relies on cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) to bind with the cannabinoids, allowing it to help regulate all of the body's functions - effectively, increasing optimization of the organism.

The skin is comprised of 3 layers - epidermis, dermis, hypodermis. CBD receptors (CB1 and CB2) are present in all layers of the skin. When applied topically, the cannabinoids do not actually enter the bloodstream, as they only interact with receptors outside the blood-brain barrier. Moisturizing
